Healey Dell
Healey Dell
Our Healey Dell lodge is situated within a nature reserve on the boundary with Rochdale and Whitworth. It is a beauty spot and wildlife sanctuary rich in industrial archaeology.
The disused railway from the 1800s runs through with a 100ft viaduct at its centre piece. The railway is now a nature trial.
Healey Dell Fishery is a well established water of approximately 1 acre and is owned by the society.
The location, as the name suggests, is within the scenic and tranquil grounds of Healey Dell nature reserve, yet only a minute from the main road and 5 miles from the M62 (Junction 20). The postcode for sat nav users is OL12 6BG.
The fishery has 30 permanent pegs and is well stocked with a good mixture of species and sizes.
The water has an average depth of approx. 4′ to 5′
A secure carpark is situated directly next to the water. Will all members please ensure the gate is locked when leaving.
