Urgent help required
The club are urgently requesting members to patrol the waters this winter. This has been brought to the clubs attention from its fisheries officer Matt Knowles, He states that for the past few years only a small handful of members have helped in keeping the predators off club waters. He went on to suggest that if more members just walked around the clubs waters it would prevent birds such as Goosander or Comerant‘s from feeding of the clubs fish. This is easy achieve by people just patrolling the water at first light or through the course of the day. The presence of people walking about will usually cause the birds to fly away. The club is doing everything possible to achieve this with deterrents to scare off the birds but it’s a difficult task
