I have started to put some keepnets and spawning boards into our waters for the fish to lay eggs on. If you find any of these nets or boards please leave them where they are. I have also transferred some more tench roach and rudd from the stock pond at Healey Dell to the main water. There have been some good catches on Syke and Healey Dell this week all three waters are producing plenty of fish. I had 9 carp out of Healey Dell on Monday evening and lost 3 more. There have been tench ,carp and barbel out of the small pond at Syke and several double figure carp out of Syke with at least 3 fish 16lb or over. ( and they have the pictures to prove it )
The open day will be at Healey Dell on Saturday 9th June, starting at 10am please could you let me know if you would like to help out we could do with as many members as possible down there on the day. Last year was a great success even though it rained a lot of the time. The open day is for people of any age or ability so why not take a friend fishing or introduce someone to fishing that has not been before. Tackle and bait will be provided free on the day .
